What to expect

Welcome to Miss Kara’s Preschool Program!

Thank you for your interest in my preschool class. This program is designed to provide a strong foundation in early childhood education, helping children develop the skills they need to thrive as lifelong learners. My classroom is a nurturing and engaging environment where learning happens through play, creativity, and connection.

Our curriculum includes:

• Letter and Sound Recognition – Fun, interactive activities to help children recognize and understand the alphabet.

• Number Recognition – Students learn to identify numbers up to 25 through hands-on games and activities.

• Colors and Shapes – We explore how to recognize, name, and even spell different colors, along with identifying a variety of shapes.

• Writing Skills – Children learn to write their own names while practicing proper pencil grip and scissor use.

• Nursery Rhymes & The Pledge of Allegiance – We build memory, rhythm, and language through classic rhymes and daily routines.

• Fine and Gross Motor Skill Development – Through crafts, core-strengthening exercises, and interactive play, we build coordination and confidence.

• Social Skills – Emphasis is placed on kindness, empathy, teamwork, and positive peer interactions.

We also celebrate all major holidays with fun and meaningful activities, and we wrap up our school year with a cheerful “Moving Up” Graduation ceremony to honor each child’s growth and accomplishments.
